At the end of 4th hour this week and next week will be the club yearbook pictures. Please be listening for the pictures announcements.
TODAY in the Ag Room during lunch, there will be an informational meeting for anyone interested this year or in the future in the Miss Farmer City-DeWitt County Fair Pageant.
Seniors: Yearbook needs 2 baby pics (up to the age of 2), 2 growing up pics (2-18) and 2 senior pics by Apr. 15. If you need Ms. T to take a picture of you for the yearbook, see her by Monday, Apr. 10th. The absolute last day pics can be taken by yearbook is May 1.
The Farmer City Garden Club is looking for volunteers to help on Main Street and the City Park downtown on Saturday, 4/15 at 9am! If any clubs are looking for a project, they sure would appreciate the help!
The next Student Council meeting is Tuesday, April 18th. Election of officers for next school year will take place. If you wish to run for an office, please let Mrs. Hardesty or Mrs. Diener know. Also on the agenda will be Homecoming themes for the fall.
Prom T-Shirt order forms are available in the office or from Mrs. Lagle. The cost is $15. Money and orders are due by Thursday, April 20. Turn into the office or Mrs. Lagle.
Prom and Post Prom tickets will be sold during lunch in the Commons starting Monday, April 17- Friday April 28th. Prom tickets are $20 each and Post Prom tickets are $10 each. Please make sure that you and your date pay for tickets at the same time! If you are not here during lunch, please see Mrs. Lagle. Tickets must be purchased in advance!
Thrive is hosting a Spring Fest on April 28th out on the Football field from 4 - 6 pm. All high school students are welcome to attend. There will be lawn games, tie dye, ice cream, and snacks! find a flyer in the school and scan the QR code to sign up or see Mr. Minteer or Mrs. Ringel for more information.
Yearbooks are on sale until May 25 for $55. This is your last chance to order!
Last night FFA Members competed in Section 16 and the Parkland Invitational Horticulture contest at Parkland College. Members competing were Kaydance Wooton and Rachel Light along with two 8th-grade members. The team took 6th overall in the Parkland Invitational contest and 1st overall in the Section 16 contest. Kaydance was 8th overall in the invitational and 1st overall in the Section and Rachel placed 3rd overall in the Section. Congratulations!
Boys track had a great meet last night at Tri-Valley. Cole Pemble came away with 2 medals including a 1st in the long jump and a 2nd in the 100m dash including a PR. Matt Schumacher came away with a 3rd place medal in the shot put. Joey Cole and Devin Wrestler both shattered previous personal records in their events. Boys track is in action again on Saturday at Prairie Central.
Congrats to the BRHS ladies track team for placing 4th out of 10 teams at the ultra competitive Tri-Valley invite last night. Alexis Wike was the headliner for the Lady Knights capturing 1st in the HJ at 5' then placed 2nd in the 200 with a PR time of 27 seconds flat and rounded out the evening with a 3rd place PR in the 100 at 13.2 and 3rd place finish in the 400. Phoebe Reynolds PR'd in the TJ and placed 3rd overall and PR'd in the LJ placing 6th. Jasmine Petmecky placed 6th in the 800, shaving 8 seconds off her previous PR at 2:54. Alexis Winstead PR'd in the 100 placing 6th at 13.9s. The 4x800 team of Anna Place, Jasmine Petmecky, Indra Nolan and Mya Laidley placed 4th overall. Other PR's include Mya Laidley in the 100HH and Alissa Edwards in the LJ. Way to go lady knights track and field!
Tonight is Girls Softball @ Villa Grove @ 4:30. Please dismiss the team at 2:15 with the bus leaving at 2:30. Good luck ladies!
Baseball plays at HOME tonight vs. Arcola at 4:30pm at South Park. Good Luck Knights!
On Saturday the Boys Baseball game has been CANCELLED and the Track teams compete at Prairie Central at 9:30am. Bus time is 7:45am. Good luck Knights!
