For Monday, September 11th
Blue Ridge Homecoming week is Sept. 25-Sept. 30th. The Homecoming theme for this school year is: Rewind 2000's. Voting for the Homecoming Court will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 12 during English classes. Sign-ups for the dance will begin Thursday, Sept. 21 during lunch in the Commons. The Homecoming Dance will be Sept. 30th from 7-9pm in the Moore Gym.
If you need a guest form, please see Mrs. Raines in the office.
If you are interested in participating in Booster Club Homecoming Games after Coronation on Sunday, Sept. 24 please sign up for Powder Puff Football; Macho Volleyball; Mr. and Mrs. Cool. Sign-up sheets will be available during lunch on the white table near the office.
The Knight Buddy program for this school year is starting! Ms. Clayton posted the application on the counseling Google Classroom pages. The application is due September 13th. Please reach out to Ms. Clayton if you have any questions!
Wednesday, September 13th at 6:30 pm is the FFA Night Cookout and Potluck at the HS. All Ag Students in 8th-12th grade and parents are invited to attend. FFA will provide drinks, chips, hotdogs, and hamburgers. Learn about the numerous opportunities FFA offers.
Blue Ridge Boys Golf hosted an invitational on Saturday with a total of 10 teams. Even though they did not come out on top, the boys improved their team score by 34 strokes from last year. Gavin Friel led the Knights with score of 96 for 18 holes and Jackson Hawn had a PR with a score of 100. The boys play again tonight in a quad meet at home. Good luck!!!
The Knights Varsity Football Team made the long trek to Edwardsville Friday evening and left with a 52-14 victory against Metro East. The Knightmare Defense scored 4 touchdowns on multiple interceptions and fumble recoveries. The varsity will be in action again this Friday at home against River Ridge. Tonight the JV takes on Flannigan here tonight at 5:30. Let’s go Knights!
There will be a Student Council meeting every Tuesday beginning on Sept. 5 until Sept. 19 during lunch in the HS Library to finalize Homecoming plans. Class officers and Student Council officers please plan on attending.
