If you're looking for a community of people who will encourage and challenge you as you walk through life, come check out "Thrive". Thrive is a place to grow in community as you grow in your faith and it is open to everyone! We'll meet Thursday at lunch in Mr. Minteer's room. Lunch will be provided! Don't just get through your day, try to Thrive!
The Art Club will meet after school on Wednesday, October 11th until 4:15 pm to carve Pumpkins for the Haunted Forest. Anyone is welcome to come and carve a pumpkin. Registration for art club for future meetings is still open on sports you.
Herff Jones will be here for all students to order class rings, other jewelry on Thursday, October 12th during 6th, 7th hours in the old gym. All orders will be due on 10/24 during lunch.
The STEM Club SPOOKTACULAR will be held this Friday, 10/13 starting at 4:30pm in the high school Chemistry and Biology rooms. Come on out for a lot of fun!
Basketball Cheer tryout practice days are 10/25 and 10/26 at 3:30 in the old gym and tryout day is 10/27 at 3:30. All three days are mandatory. If you have any questions email Miss Robbins or see the flyers around the school.
TONIGHT is the volleyball “Pink out Game’ with the JV starting at 6pm and the Varsity shortly after. They will be playing ALAH at HOME. We’ll dedicate the night to Blue Ridge parent Amy Jamison who was diagnosed with breast cancer and all proceeds will be going toward her and her family. Come out and cheer on the Lady Knights for a great cause and a WIN!
Varsity Soccer has a Regional match at Cornerstone TONIGHT @ 4:15. Good Luck Knights!
The BRHS Key Club had a successful blood drive yesterday. We had six awesome students show up to donate blood! Those blood donors were Nate Marshall, Ellie Schlieper, Clayton Evans, Kade Nichols, Colin Michaels, and Jasmine Brown. Those brave students plus many community members and our Key Club Volunteers made this blood drive a success!
Congrats to the Varsity Scholastic Bowl team for placing 2nd in the standard division at the Rockford Auburn Harvard Fall Classic this past Saturday going 5-3 on the day. Congrats to AJ Johnson for being the division's top scorer with 40 toss-ups while Indra Nolan was also recognized as the 4th top scorer with 22 toss-ups. Other contributors for the knights on the day was Devin Wrestler with 6 toss-ups followed by Broden Soliday with 3. All in all a lot of good buzzes and a great way to start off the scholastic bowl year. Way to go Knights!
