Don’t forget to order your school yearbooks!  They are on sale now for $55 each  at www.jostensyearbooks.com.   They will be in after school starts in the fall.

ttention Juniors and Seniors: Please go to your Class Counselor Google Classroom to vote for Prom King and Queen.  Voting ends Wednesday at 3:10.

 

If you are interested in playing volleyball in the summer, please come to the office and sign up so we know how many we’ll have for summer league.

There is also a lunch meeting in the library with the new Volleyball coach, Ms. Heckman for anyone interested in playing volleyball on Monday, May 13th in the library.

 

The Miss Farmer City Dewitt County Queen pageant applications closes on May 16th.  If you are a young woman and interested in competing in July at the fair, please see Ms. Meisner in the Ag room.  Just a reminder, the scholarship for the queen is a $1,000 to win!

Tryout practice for Football Cheer will be held May 21, 22 and 23 from 4-6pm in the New Gym and tryouts will be held on Friday, May 24 at 9 am.

 

At the LPC meet on Friday the lady knights represented well.   Cede Manuel won the pole vault.  Jasmine Petmecky placed 5th in the 3200 while Ava Hammer placed 6th.  The 4x200 team of Alissa Edwards, Rylee Burnett, Ariahna Brown and Alexis Winstead placed 6th.  Alexis Winstead, still nursing a hurt leg, placed 4th in the 100.  Kelly Weiss ran a sub 7 min 1600 just missing placement.  Ariahna Brown ran a PR time of 1:05.2 in the 400 placing 6th.  The 4x800 team of Jasmine Petmecky, Indra Nolan, Kelly Weiss and Karly Warner placed 5th.  Addison Hinthorn PR'd in the shot as did Ava Hammer in the 100HH and 300IH.   Many notable PR's and school records in the long meet.  Way to go lady Knights! 

Boys track participated in the LPC Conference meet on Friday.  The Knights were led by Cole Pemble, the current LPC record holder and 3-year long jump champion, with a first place finish in the event with a jump of 6.3 meters.  Matt Schumacher contributed a 2 place finish in the Shot put and a 3rd place in the 400 meter dash. All of our relay events turned in PR times with the 4x100 also managing a 3rd place finish in a very fast field.  The team will be getting some rest and training in preparation for sectionals on May 15th.
