Don’t forget to order your school yearbooks!  They are on sale now for $55 each  at www.jostensyearbooks.com.   They will be in after school starts in the fall.

Student Council will be meeting during lunch today in the library!  If you are wanting to be an officer, please come to the meeting.

Attention Juniors and Seniors: Please go to your Class Counselor Google Classroom to vote for Prom King and Queen.  Voting ends this Wednesday at 3:10.

If you are interested in playing volleyball in the summer, please come to the office and sign up so we know how many we’ll have for summer league.

There is also a lunch meeting in the library with the new Volleyball coach, Ms. Heckman for anyone interested in playing volleyball on Monday, May 13th in the library.

There will be a THRIVE meeting THURSDAY in Mrs. Ramirez’s room (the art room)!  Lunch will be provided.  Why just get through your day when you can THRIVE!

There will be a Dungeons and Dragons meeting this Thursday in Mr. Minteer's room from 3:30 - 5:00 pm. This is for Minteer's current group but new members are welcome!

The Miss Farmer City Dewitt County Queen pageant applications closes on May 16th.  If you are a young woman and interested in competing in July at the fair, please see Ms. Meisner in the Ag room.  Just a reminder, the scholarship for the queen is a $1,000 to win!

Tryout practice for Football Cheer will be held May 21, 22 and 23 from 4-6pm in the New Gym and tryouts will be held on Friday, May 24 at 9 am.

Last week FFA Members traveled to Peoria to compete in the State Ag Mechanics, State Parliamentary Procedure, and State Conduct of Chapter Meetings events. 

In Ag Mechanics Team members included- Lillian Enger 8th overall in Carpentry, Lori Weiss in Surveying, Drake Hardesty in Ag Power, Rachel Light in Electricity, and Ava Paullin in Welding. The team placed 17th overall in the State. In Parliamentary Procedure the team consisted of Lillian Enger 3rd overall President, Ava Paullin, Carmen Ellis, Mercedes Manuel, Lori Weiss, and Presley Hardesty. The Team placed 8th overall in the state! In the Conduct of Chapter Meetings, the team consisted of Drake Hardesty- 6th overall President, Kelly Weiss 7th overall individual, Addison Browning 10th overall individual, Raeanna Miller, Shawn Christie, Cheyanne Smith, and Tyler Holtz. The team placed 6th overall in the state! Way to go everyone who competed.

This morning results were announced for the National Chapter Award for FFA Chapters in Illinois. This application is based on 15 activities within the areas of Building Communities, Strengthening Agriculture, and Growing Leaders. Blue Ridge FFA is again ranked in the top 10% in Illinois earning a spot as a National Finalist advancing to the first level of judging this summer for National FFA. Blue Ridge FFA also is the Section 16 winner in the area of Growing Leaders and was named the top Premier Chapter for Section 16. Congratulations to all of our Ag Students and active FFA members for all you do participating in the different events and Congratulations to our 2023-2024 FFA Officer team for all the work planning and organizing the various events.
