Congratulations to our FFA members who traveled to Decatur yesterday to compete in the Section 16 Parliamentary Procedure, Conduct of Chapter Meetings, and Ag Education events. The Parliamentary Procedure team placed 1st overall and are advancing to districts in April for the 9th year in a row. Team members included Lori Weiss - 2nd overall floor member, Ava Paullin 4th overall floor member, Carmen Ellis- 5th overall floor member, Mercedes Manuel- 6th overall floor member, Presley Hardesty 7th overall floor member, and Lillian Enger- 1st overall Chair person. The Conduct of Chapter Meetings Team, consisting of 2 freshmen and 5 8th graders were 2nd overall and will be advancing to districts for the 9th year in a row as well. High Schoolers on the Team included Lana Malsberry 6th overall floor member and Tori Eads 7th overall floor member! In Ag Education Kaydance Wooton placed 1st overall and will be advancing to Districts in January and Presley Hardesty placed 2nd overall and would be advancing if not for the rule of 2 members from the same school cannot advance. We are incredibly proud of all of our FFA members and the hard work they've been putting in these last few weeks!
The Lady Knights Basketball team fell to a Leroy, a championship contender last night but not without growing in the process. Sr. Mya Laidley had a team high 5 rebounds along with 3 steals and an assist. Alissa Edwards played a foul free game and had 4 points along with Kylie Madden's 4 points making up half the total points for the Lady Knights. Madden was perfect from the foul line and Makenzie Woliung played stellar defense until she couldn't play any longer. Great effort was given by all on a short-handed Lady Knights team. Next game is our first home game Tuesday against Martinsville. Come out and support your lady Knights!
Today’s lunch is a Cheese Pizza
