There is a Student Council meeting TODAY in the Library during lunch. Bring an ink pen with you to sign Christmas cards for WIXY’s Holiday Card promotion for the elderly!
Santa needs help! His sleigh has gotten too slow and his North Pole factory desperately needs an update! Join the Blue Ridge High School STEM Club in the “Holly Jolly STEM Night” as they compete to build the best gingerbread house and the best paper airplane.
Activities start every 45 minutes with the first group kicking off at 5:00 PM. This is a free event, but there will be 3D printed toys available for purchase and donations to the STEM Club are always welcome. Participants of all ages are welcome to join in this engineering challenge! Please see Mr. Scurlock, Ms. Miller or Ms. Villwock to RSVP your time slot!
Congratulations to the Varsity Scholastic Bowl team for defeating D-W, Tri-Point 360-100, and Heritage 250-110 to improve their overall record to 9-1. Leading the Varsity Knights in a balanced scoring attack was Hutch Partlow with 7 followed by Sami Boogren with 6, Conner Otto and A.J. Johnson with 5 each and Aiden Soliday with 1. Congratulations to the JV scholastic bowl team for also going 3-0 in the evening. Leading the JV was Cadin Dozier with 8 toss-ups. Way to go Knights!
After school detentions this week is with Mr. Scurlock from 3:15 – 3:55 in his room.
