The Blue Ridge Board of Education is conducting interviews for a recently vacated seat that will run from the time of appointment through 2025. The interviews will be held on Wednesday, August 30 beginning at 6:15 p.m. in the BRHS Library, 411 N. John St., Farmer City. If you are an eligible and interested board candidate, please send a resume and letter of interest to the Blue Ridge Board of Education, attn: Dr. Hillary Stanifer at 411 N. If you have not completed online registration, please do so. We extended the deadline to Sunday night to help you. To register your student(s), please login to Qmlativ (Skyward) and navigate to the green tile under your student titled "Online Registration 23-24." Online Registration is open for one week. Here is the link: https://rb.gy/xvfj2 Smartphones can be used to register but we recommend a larger computer screen. Attention all incoming Kindergarten parents: Kindergarten Jumpstart for all new Kindergarteners will be August 7-10. This is a two day program that allows students to transition into Kindergarten with smaller group sizes and build positive relationships with new peers and teachers. More information will be available during registration at Schneider Elementary on August 3. See you then!

FREE PRESCHOOL SCREENING AGES 3-5 Blue Ridge School District #18 will conduct free preschool screenings on July 27 and 28 at Schneider Elementary School, 309 North John Street, Farmer City, Illinois. The developmental screening is for children who are 3 or 4 years old at the time of the screening. Children who turn 5 on or before September 1, 2023 are not eligible for the screening. Please allow up to 2 hours for the screening. We ask you not to bring other children with you since you will be asked to join us during your child’s appointment. Parents will be asked to complete an information packet and return it to the school a week before the appointment. Please call the Unit Office (309)928-9141 to schedule an appointment or ask any questions. Thank you!

BRHS is in need of soccer players! This is a fall season sport and is a co-ed team. Blue Ridge and Deland Weldon students are eligible to play. Please reach out to sflannell@blueridge18.org for more information.
