Good Morning. In an effort to help our local Blue Ridge JFL, we are asking that parents are aware that the deadline to sign up is 12:30 today. They are currently short one Bantam player (3/4th) and one Varsity player (7/8th). In order for the JFL season to take place, players must be registered today by 12:30 p.m.
Please direct questions and interest to Blue Ridge JFL and find the registration form online in the Facebook Group "Blue Ridge JFL." We wish them the best of luck making this season happen for the players!

Dear BR Families, there have been media reports of inappropriate use by students in other IL districts using a popular educational technology platform, called Flipgrid, in a public setting. We, along with other IL districts, have been unable to reproduce this inappropriate use ourselves. Therefore, we are not currently blocking the tool as it does provide classroom benefits. We do, however, ask that you reinforce with your student that they are never to join Flipgrid without a teacher given code or invitation. Thank You! #br_u_knighted

Dear BR Families, in the linked letter, you will find information regarding the ESSER grant funds that have been alloted to Blue Ridge, along with descriptions of a variety of summer programming opportunities. Thank you for reading the letter and staying informed! https://5il.co/rcr2 #br_u_knighted

Last reminder to turn in paperwork for the vaccination clinic that will be offered to BRHS students 18 years and older. (Note: This is different from the Sunday, April 11 clinic.)
Dear BR Parents/Guardians of 16 year old and older students:
The DeWitt Piatt Bi-County Health Department (DPBCHD) is offering the Pfizer vaccine to any interested Blue Ridge students who are 16 years of age or older. Your student was given a Pfizer fact sheet and a consent form to take home last week. They are also available here: fact sheet: https://5il.co/r1wp and consent form:https://5il.co/r1wq. The DPBCHD is asking that we collect completed consent forms by Friday, April 9. That will allow DPBCHD to continue their planning process with neighboring districts and notify us of the date of our vaccine clinic, which will be held during school hours in the BRHS Library. With questions, please contact the BRHS office, or the DPBCHD. Please note that the date of the clinic will not be set until after all neighboring districts have relayed their numbers to DPBCHD. Thank you! #br_u_knighted

Parents and Guardians, could you please take 5 minutes to complete a very brief survey about Student Support Services at Blue Ridge? Each student in your household may also complete the survey if you feel that is appropriate at their age level. This link will take you to the survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LJDZM9K. The information collected will guide our upcoming staffing decisions. Thank you! #br_u_knighted

The district is now in receipt of the complaint filed against it on March 16, 2021. As always, the safety of all students is our utmost concern. Since this matter involves pending litigation, we are unable to comment further at this time. Thank you. #br_u_knighted

Can we count on you to give us your feedback? The 5Essentials survey is closing this Friday, April 2nd. In order for our district to receive a report, we must have 20% of our parents from each building complete a survey. We are still very far from this goal. Would you be willing to take 10-15 minutes to complete a survey? We want your voices to be heard. You can fill out a survey for each child in your family. #br_u_knighted
