I'd like to introduce to you a few new staff members on our junior high team! Please welcome Alex Chapman to 7th/8th grade science, Amanda Moore to 8th grade ELA, and substitute Zach Marcopulos to 7th/8th PE. We thank Mr. Morris, Mrs. Acree and Mr. Acree for their service to Blue Ridge and wish them all the best in their new endeavors. Paige Trimble will be spending a larger portion of her time working from BRIJHS as an integral part of our COMEBACK 2022 plan. We are confident that with extra hands on deck and support from Coaches Abby Lyons and Carmen Bergmann, the teachers, and our paraprofessionals, that we will be off to a positive start to the second semester. COMEBACK 2022, we're ready! #br_u_knighted

We're ready to see students tomorrow! Here's a COVID update for you. According to the IDPH decision tree and in consultation with DeWitt Piatt Bi-County Health Department, when a student becomes ill, and complies with testing within 24 hours, the siblings will be able to remain on campus pending the outcome. If a negative test is received, the siblings may stay at school and the student who is ill will be able to return when guidelines are met. If a positive test is received, the student who is positive and all household siblings of the student who tested positive would be excluded from school at that time. Also, while we are aware of the recent revisions to isolation and quarantine guidance announced by the CDC, ISBE is currently requiring schools to follow the previous guidelines until further notification. Thank you for you ongoing patience! #br_u_knighted

Jingle bells were ringing as Mrs. Brackenhoff's class completed their Silence a Jingle Bell STEM Challenge! Students had to use a variety of materials to silence the sound of their jingle bell. Some awesome engineering skills were used and it was loads of fun!
